As you walk into our Patterson Fan facility, if you are not familiar with us, you might be surprised at how healthy our environmental eco system is. Every spring, we have hundreds of frogs in our small pond along with very special birds–pipers–that nest on the ground on our front lawn. The little birds create a lot of excitement for those of us who count the days till the babies hatch. Before the big day, we make sure the nests stay safe by protectively placing screens around them.
The biggest surprise for a new Patterson visitor however, besides all the birds, frogs and other animals that live on our front lawn is right out our back door– on company property. It is a large, fully stocked catfish pond. The catfish have been here as long as we have, and those fish are now very, very big. If you go out back with a bag of catfish food–you can call them. The fish will swim to you at the dock, making small tidal waves on the pond’s surface as they come towards you with their massive mouths open– ready for food. For all of our fishermen customers, yes we do cull the pond with semi-annual Patterson Fan fishing tournaments. Our number one fishing tournament champion is Terri Gainey of Accounting. She has an amazing track record of year after year bringing in the biggest fish!
At Patterson Fan, we take environmental health seriously and nothing shows it better than our eco system. We build blue fans green.
